Who we serve

Job seekers & career starters

Those actively pursuing a first role and needing readiness, guidance and exposure.

Who they are

Understanding this group.

Job seekers and career starters are applying, waiting and being rejected, usually without ever learning why. Many are competent people whose applications are weak, whose interviews are unpractised and whose search is unfocused. Some are applying for roles they were never suited to.

Prolonged unsuccessful searching is corrosive. It damages confidence, encourages young people to lower their sights and pushes some out of the labour market altogether. Practical preparation and honest feedback interrupt that pattern.

Developmental needs

Stronger applications
Documents and written responses that reach interview stage rather than being screened out.
Interview practice
Realistic rehearsal with feedback, which most candidates have never received.
A focused search
A clear view of suitable, realistic roles and how they are actually filled.
Resilience
The discipline and perspective to keep applying well through rejection and delay.

How AYCADO supports them

Our support for this group.

AYCADO supports this group through career readiness training, application clinics, practice interviews, digital skills development, mentorship and networking practice. Support is concentrated on the specific points where applications fail.

Sessions are available online for those unable to travel, and are deliberately practical: participants leave with revised material and rehearsed answers rather than advice.

Skills and capabilities

What they develop with us.

  • Application writing and self presentation
  • Interview performance under realistic conditions
  • Digital competence required by entry level roles
  • Professional communication and conduct

Practical experience

Doing real work.

Where placements or supervised project work are available, participants build the applied experience their applications lack. Practical workshop output also gives them recent, concrete work to discuss at interview.

Career development

Preparing for opportunity.

Career guidance addresses targeting as well as technique, because a well written application for an unsuitable role still fails. Participants leave with a defined search plan rather than an open ended one.

Mentorship and exposure

Guidance from others.

Mentorship provides the honest feedback that a recruitment process never gives, and access to information about opportunities that are rarely advertised widely.
