Who we serve
Young & aspiring entrepreneurs
Young people developing enterprise ideas, discipline and practical business capability.

Who they are
Understanding this group.
Young and aspiring entrepreneurs are building, or trying to build, something of their own. Some are already trading informally. Others hold an idea they have not yet tested. Many are entering enterprise because employment has not been available to them.
This group is frequently encouraged and rarely challenged. Enthusiasm without testing, costing or planning consumes scarce money and time, and the failure is often blamed on the young person rather than on the absence of any preparation.
Developmental needs
- Honest testing
- A method for checking whether real customers want the thing before investing in it.
- Financial discipline
- Costing, pricing, record keeping and an understanding of cash rather than turnover.
- Operating capability
- The ability to plan, deliver consistently and manage the practical work of an enterprise.
- Experienced counsel
- Access to people who have run something and will say plainly what is wrong with a plan.
How AYCADO supports them
Our support for this group.
AYCADO supports entrepreneurs through enterprise development training, practical workshops and bootcamps, innovation and problem solving sessions, pitch practice and mentorship from people with enterprise experience.
The approach is sober and practical. Participants test assumptions with real potential customers, revise their idea and build simple costings before scaling anything.
Skills and capabilities
What they develop with us.
- Idea validation and customer understanding
- Costing, pricing and basic financial control
- Pitching and presenting an enterprise credibly
- Digital tools for operating and reaching customers
Practical experience
Doing real work.
The enterprise itself is the practical work. Participants complete customer testing assignments between sessions, produce prototypes where relevant and present progress for structured challenge.
Career development
Preparing for opportunity.
Enterprise capability creates opportunity rather than waiting for it, and the same commercial judgement, financial discipline and communication ability strengthen any employed role a participant later takes.
Mentorship and exposure
Guidance from others.
Mentorship matters more here than almost anywhere else. Experienced practitioners can identify a flawed assumption in an hour that would otherwise take a young founder a year and a great deal of money to discover.
